What exactly does the connector do?
Our WooCommerce – Exact Online Financial connector ensures a flawless exchange of data between your webshop and your records. This happens fully automatically, so you always stay up to date and save time.
1. Customers & contacts
When a customer places an order in your WooCommerce shop, all relevant customer details are recorded directly as a relation and contact in Exact Online. Think of:
- Company name, name and address details
- E-mail and phone number

2. Sales invoices
When an order is created in WooCommerce, a sales entry is automatically created in Exact Online:

Does the financial connector suit your webshop?
Of the three WooCommerce connectors with Exact Online, this is the lightest. It is intended for webshops that use Exact Online purely for bookkeeping and keep their product management in WooCommerce.
Your customers are recorded as a relation in Exact Online and every order becomes a sales invoice. That keeps your turnover, your accounts receivable position and your VAT return accurate.
What you do not get with this: no items are added to Exact Online and no stock is exchanged. Your product data stays entirely in WooCommerce.
If you do want your items in Exact Online, the invoices connector is the next step. If you work with stock that needs to be updated from Exact Online, you need the trade connector.
How to connect WooCommerce to Exact Online
For all three versions the installation is the same: create an API key in WooCommerce, connect your Exact Online administration and go through seven steps. It is up and running within ten minutes. Only the subscription choice in step 1 differs.
