Installing the connector

Within 10 minutes you connect your international bank to Exact Online. The installation wizard guides you through the process. You start with the authorisations at your accounting package and international bank. For each bank you choose a bank ledger from your accounting and then you activate the connector. If that does not work, the implementation team is ready to support you.

Frequently asked questions about the bank connector

Can I connect foreign bank accounts to Exact Online?

Yes. Our international bank connector supports 2300+ banks in Europe. Transactions are read into Exact Online automatically as bank entries, no matter which bank you use.

My bank is not in the list; can I still use the connector?

Very likely. We support banks that follow the PSD2/Open Banking standard, and there are now thousands of them in Europe and beyond. Contact us and we will check it for you.

Is it safe to connect my bank details?

Absolutely. The connector works through secure Open Banking APIs, we never have access to your login details. All data is processed encrypted and we are ISO 27001 certified.

I work with multiple currencies; do I also need the exchange rate module?

If you regularly process transactions in foreign currency, our exchange rate module is a useful addition. It updates the daily rates automatically in Exact Online, so you always post at the current rate.

What is the difference with the bank connector that Exact Online offers itself?

Exact Online supports a limited number of Dutch banks. Our international connector goes much further: banks across Europe and beyond are supported. Ideal if you operate internationally.

How quickly are transactions read in?

Transactions are retrieved and processed in Exact Online automatically 4 times a day. This way you always have an up to date view of your bank entries without importing manually.
