Does Copilot work with Exact Online?
Yes. Copilot works with Exact Online through Exact AI Connect. The connector is built on MCP (Model Context Protocol), the standard that lets you link an AI agent to external data sources. You add the connector in Copilot Studio, authorise once with Exact Online and after that your agent uses your figures in plain language.

Requires a Copilot Studio licence. With a free 30 day trial you can test it first. Make sure generative orchestration is switched on.
1Open your agent in Copilot Studio and go to Tools.
2Click on Add a tool and then on New tool.
3Choose Model Context Protocol.
4Give the connector a name (for example Exact AI Connect), a short description, and paste the connector link into the Server URL field.
6Click on Create and then on Add to agent. You log in to Exact Online once and click on Authorise.

What can you ask Copilot about your bookkeeping?
Once your agent uses the connector, you work with your administration in plain language. Copilot reads your figures and can, with your approval, prepare actions. A few examples:
"How much VAT do I have to pay this quarter?"
"Which purchase invoices need to be paid this week?"
"Draw up an overview of outstanding creditors, sorted by due date."
"Create a draft quote for customer X with these three items."

Is the connector with Copilot secure?

Besides reading, your Copilot agent can also prepare actions, for example an invoice or a reminder. Such actions only go through after you have approved them. You stay in control.
