Does Perplexity work with Twinfield?
Yes. Perplexity works with Twinfield through Twinfield AI Connect, a connector based on MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard that connects AI to your own tools and data. You add the connector as a custom connector, authorise once with Twinfield and then ask your questions in the chat. This works on Perplexity Pro, Max and Enterprise.
Connecting Twinfield with Perplexity, step by step
This is the connector link that you add to Perplexity:

Requires Perplexity Pro, Max or Enterprise. On a free account you cannot add your own connector.
1Go to Account settings and choose All settings → Connectors.
2Click on + Custom connector in the top right and choose Remote.
3Give the connector a name (for example Twinfield AI Connect) and paste the connector link into the server URL field.
4Tick that you understand custom connectors can carry risks and click on Add.
5Click on the connector to start the authorisation. You will be redirected to Twinfield. Log in and click on Authorise. You only have to do this once.
6In the chat, click on the + (Connectors and sources), turn on Twinfield AI Connect and ask your question.
Tip: is the connector ready but you are not getting answers from your figures? Check whether Twinfield AI Connect is ticked under the + menu before you ask your question.
What can you ask Perplexity about your bookkeeping?
As soon as the connector is active, you query your Twinfield administration directly. Perplexity looks up the answer in your figures and can, after your approval, also prepare something. A few examples:
"Compare my costs for this period with the same period last year."
"Which debtors have the longest outstanding invoices?"
"Give an overview of my revenue per cost centre."
"Create a draft credit note for debtor Z."

Is the connector with Perplexity safe?

Why am I not getting answers from my figures?
Check whether Twinfield AI Connect is ticked under the + menu (Connectors and sources) before you ask your question. If the connector is off in that conversation, Perplexity pulls nothing from Twinfield.
Can Perplexity also change things in my administration?
Yes. Besides looking things up, Perplexity can also prepare actions, such as a sales transaction or a credit note. These are only carried out after you approve them. You stay in control.
