MATCHU is a Dutch sports brand that initially started specifically from physiotherapy, but has since grown into a large brand with a wide sports range. Under the leadership of Gianni, the company has transitioned from purely B2B to a strong B2C focus through (mainly) marketplaces. As a pioneer in marketplace sales, Matchu Sports sells not only via its own webshop but also via Bol.com, Amazon, and Decathlon, with orders reaching as far as Dubai.

The challenge: manual labor in a growing company
Ten years ago, they were one of the first Dutch companies to see the opportunities of marketplace sales. Bol.com was still relatively new territory for sellers, and the possibilities were enormous. But with those opportunities also came challenges.
Gianni remembers that time well: "We had a small account with dozens of orders per day. Every day we sat behind a single screen typing the orders over to the shipping application to create labels. Sometimes a postcode would be entered incorrectly because you made a small mistake". This way of working particularly brought the following pain points:
- Manual retyping Every order had to be processed individually; a hugely time-consuming task.
- Error-prone A typo in a postcode, for example, meant a failed delivery, with all its consequences.

"I really thought: this has to be smarter" Gianni tells. "So I started to look for someone who could help us. There were a few preferred partners of Exact Online, but they were terribly expensive. The most important thing for me is that I can close the laptop at five o'clock and not have to think about it anymore. We don't have to keep checking if something goes wrong.
