ABN AMRO, ING, Rabobank and foreign banks: we connect them all

Written by Yannick van den Bergen | 27 July 2026

More than 2,300 banks. That is the number of banks you can connect to your accounting software through our bank connector. From the Rabobank around the corner to a business account at a Belgian bank. We connect them all.

All major Dutch banks, without exception

You know the three big names: ABN AMRO, ING and Rabobank. Together they serve over 80% of the Dutch business market. Our bank connector supports all three, including their business variants and sub-accounts.

But it does not stop there. We also support SNS, ASN Bank, Triodos, Knab and RegioBank. Do you have a savings account at one bank and a business account at another? You connect both in the same environment.

Neobanks: Bunq, Revolut and more

The banking world is changing. Bunq now counts more than 20 million users in Europe. Revolut is growing fast in the business market. More and more entrepreneurs choose a neobank as their primary or secondary bank account.

Our connector fully supports these neobanks. No difference in functionality compared to a traditional bank: the same automatic import, the same matching rules.

International coverage for growing businesses

Do you do business across the border? Then you probably have bank accounts in several countries. We connect Belgian banks such as KBC, Belfius and BNP Paribas Fortis by default. German banks like Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank and Sparkasse too. Of course we also connect Spanish banks such as Santander, BBVA, CaixaBank and Bankinter. And for the United Kingdom we support Barclays, HSBC and Lloyds, among others.

The full list counts more than 2,300 banks worldwide. That is not a marketing claim, but the direct result of PSD2 legislation.

How PSD2 makes this possible

PSD2 requires European banks to make secure API connectors available to authorised parties. We are such an authorised party. That means we do not depend on separate agreements with individual banks. Any bank that is PSD2-compliant (and they all are) we can connect.

The result: a connector that works with nearly every bank in the EU and many banks beyond it. Without you having to do anything extra.

The multi-bank scenario

Our experience is that companies rarely have just one bank account. A typical SME has two to four. A business with international activities sometimes six or more.

Without an automatic connector that means: logging in six times, exporting six times, importing six times. Every day again. With our bank connector you link all those accounts at once. All transactions flow automatically into your accounting, regardless of the bank, regardless of the country.

We believe accounting software should support this by default. As long as it does not, we solve it.

Per bank: how does the setup work?

The installation hardly differs per bank. The basic process is the same for every connector:

  1. Create an account. Set up an account with iWebDevelopment.
  2. Authorise the bank. Log in to your bank and grant permission through PSD2.
  3. Connect the accounting package. Link Exact Online, Twinfield or AFAS.
  4. First synchronisation. Transactions are retrieved right away.

At some banks (such as ABN AMRO) the authorisation runs through a QR code in the banking app. At others (such as ING) through the familiar TAN code. It takes an average of five minutes per bank.

Do you have five bank accounts? Then you are fully operational within half an hour.

No compromises with smaller banks

A common concern: does the connector work just as well with less common banks? Yes. Whether you connect Knab, Bunq or a German Sparkasse, the functionality is identical. Automatic import, daily synchronisation, and the same matching rules in your accounting software.

We actively test every bank connector. When a bank makes changes to its API, we adjust our connector. That happens in the background. You notice nothing of it.

What if your bank is not listed?

With more than 2,300 supported banks the chance is small. But should your bank be missing, please contact us. We can add new banks on request, provided the bank is PSD2-compliant.
