What exactly does the connector do?

Our Lightspeed - Exact Online Financial connector takes care of an error-free exchange of data between your Lightspeed partner account and your accounts. This happens fully automatically, so you always stay up to date and save time.

1. Customers & contacts

When a customer places an order in Lightspeed, all relevant customer details are recorded straight away in Exact Online as both an account and a contact. This includes:

• Company name, name and address details
• Email address and phone number
• VAT number

Benefit:
You always have a complete and up-to-date customer database in Exact Online, without any manual entry. This prevents errors and speeds up your invoicing and reporting processes.

2. Sales entries

When an order is created in Lightspeed, a sales entry is created automatically in Exact Online:

• All order lines, descriptions, quantities and the total price are carried over
• Automatically matched to the correct customer and the correct delivery address
• Automatically assigned to the correct journal and the correct general ledger account
• Automatically given the correct VAT code (including ICP/export)

3. VAT, payment conditions & more

The connector supports all common VAT scenarios: domestic, within the EU (ICP), outside the EU (export) and zero rate. This is handled automatically based on the delivery address and the customer's VAT number.

Payment conditions, references and other administrative fields are also carried over correctly.
